I previously wrote a guest post on my friend Louis Gray’s blog on marketing topics that have jumped the shark. That was published in 2009. Unsurprisingly, not much has changed: overdone, useless or just plain inaccurate ideas continue to spread.
I always thought it was pretty clear which Creative Commons license you should use for releasing your work or when using the works of others. However, I’ve also seen plenty of incorrect use of it over the years.
I love when people produce useful, creative resources to help digital marketing practitioners. Bonus points when they do so on a product I market by day (Google Analytics). So I wanted to share a few of the more creative ones I’ve seen recently.
There is a strange trend I’ve noticed recently: some authors and media removing the dates from their posts. As an active participant on the social web since the 90s, this not only bothers me, it is two-steps backwards.
