It’s a simple fact of working in social media that relationships can form out of reciprocal behavior. This is expressed in many ways. Perhaps the most famous (or at least simplest) of these is in the practice of “voting up” peoples’ stories on a social bookmarking site, because it insures that your story will get votes as well.
We’ve been documenting images that get passed on throughout the social web since 2008. More than 1 million of you have viewed the series, making it the most popular of our ongoing threads at The Future Buzz.
Today I wanted wanted to start a discussion about your team members participation in social media on behalf of your brand. Specifically, I want to chat about basic philosophy of how you handle putting people forward.
I rather enjoy Peter Kim’s thoughts on the web and technology in general. I’ve included him in posts and projects produced for The Future Buzz for years, so longtime readers already know him.
All Facebook recently ran a story with the headline: SHOCKER: 3% To 7.5% Of Fans See Your Page’s Posts. Except Future Buzz readers are already laughing that anyone thinks this is a “shocker.”
