I&#039;m far from an expert at this point BUT with the experience I&#039;ve had with thousands of YouTube subscribers (millions of video views), a list of a couple hundred is more &quot;potent&quot; than thousands of fans/subscribers/followers (on the social media services). Don&#039;t discount RSS though...plenty of smart people/early adopters are fluent with RSS and still using it - these people tend to be digitally savvy and share good content across lots of platforms.
