Its vital and paying some company to write content for you isnt a good way to go about it either. People dont quite understand the importance of blogging. People want to read new content to learn more about whatever business your in. Google knows this and that is why your site ranks higher if you have a constant flow of new content.

I completely agree. Great takes characterizing the culture that can inhibit the content-development process.
Think the trick for many brands, in the day to day, is to commit to using their content assets - assuming they’re produced - across mediums that can extend their messages beyond their existing base or front-line channels.

Search will continue to evolve, and each evolution and change will affect the many tactics of SEO, however at the end of the day, the mission of search is to help people find great content.
Therefore, as you say, investments in content will continue to pay off.
My new company, MediaPiston (http://www.mediapiston.com) aims to make it orders of magnitude easier to great content on a regular basis. I was at Irish marketing event yesterday and I talked about the importance of blogs. I said that even if you didn't think about engaging an audience, getting conversation going think about how Google will like you so much more for your new fresh content. On Digg Google would index a page in a couple of minutes because it has lots of new content. How often are you being indexed? Get some new pages up there and make sure the URL (web address) contains keywords, please!

I enjoyed this post because I tell people this all the time.
