Hi Adam!

I have been reading your blog regularly now for about 2 years, and you always manage to impress me with your original thought. You've got so much going on in your brilliant mind, and you always find time in your busy life to stop and reflect - I appload you. This is something I struggle with.

I agree with you on this one. Detailes are precious and priceless yet easy to undermine in the process of chasing the result. But the very process of creation is the most creative and original process of all. I noticed that if I dont have have an established goal, if I engage in creative or analytical thinking just for the love of it, I tend to arrive at most amasing conclusions.

Sometimes, and just for the fun of it, I take two completely uncompatible at the fist sight theories or books, and I try to find intersections. I got my best results, both while studing and at work, from doing just that. And the coolest thing: not one has thought about that before me :) It is about paying attention, or even more, nurturing, the details, that leads to success.

Please, go on sharing your beatiful thoughts with us, it makes me feel less lonely.

Right on, Adam. I do feel the same... in music and in marketing. I also believe you have outlined why major labels are failing... they're focused on the hit... not the intricate details. And people got bored- maybe not the masses, but the hardcore music lovers. And as you said, there is so much content now, if a person really cares about music, it's out there to find. The best move I've ever made with my music was to join forces with an electronic musician. When we started, I'd write the songs- lyrics/ melody. He would add the details. After working together for 6 years, I have a better understanding of details... and he can get a new song flowing with melody...

You have also inspired me to (finally) work on a side project that has been brewing... thank you for sharing your thoughts!
