I think some (many) people forget or don&#039;t realise that the social web is about relationship building. This is essentially the same as walking up to a stranger in the street. It seems they understand less than social media. They don&#039;t appear to understand the most basic tenants of communication.
From what I learned with my limited inaction working with some labels, some are still having a hard time moving beyond the 1980s marketing model. Not for long, however. And I don&#039;t mean that they are working toward getting it.
