I like how you comment about having a personality and catering to your community. Those are keys. I also think adding a viral element to blogging is another way of attracting more users. Now everybody has a digital camera and access to editing equipment software. That is taking it to the next level. Of course not just running a plain video of a blogger reading his content is not good enough nowadays. The blogger's need to be more creative then just that. (Editing, putting in text and adding music is just some things that could be done and is done). Also I agree with Mario, all these informative posts need to be put in a book!
