Two quick links for today.
First up, check out my new post on TopRank’s (my employer’s) blog on Web Community Building: Making It Thrive.
Next, Mike Fruchter who took over my previous digital strategist position at Pierson Grant wrote a social media case study on International Dairy Queen, a former client I helped guide into the social web.
As an FYI for readers here, my consulting to DQ included:
- Strategic roadmap of social media involvement, several ideas and paths presented
- Successful execution of thriving company blog
- Getting social media buy-in from the top-down
- Equipping the DQ Web and communications teams with digital strategy
- Facebook brand channel organic growth to more than 100,000 subscribers and continued high level of interaction from fans in that network
- Creative social web promotions, giveaways and community building campaigns (PROMO Magazine wrote one idea up)
- Beginnings of using the social web as a customer service channel in tandem with PR/marketing outreach
I wish them continued success in the future, and am glad to see Mike/PG pushing forward on new developments.

Great links, and wow you had DQ as a client? That’s pretty major. I’m going to read that case study a bit more carefully knowing that.

Nice article there on toprankblog. I haven’t read the second link of Yours but I guess I’ll do it in next few days. The first one was quite interesting so… Nice job.
