Two quick links for today.

First up, check out my new post on TopRank’s (my employer’s) blog on Web Community Building: Making It Thrive.

Next, Mike Fruchter who took over my previous digital strategist position at Pierson Grant wrote a social media case study on International Dairy Queen, a former client I helped guide into the social web.

As an FYI for readers here, my consulting to DQ included:

  • Strategic roadmap of social media involvement, several ideas and paths presented
  • Successful execution of thriving company blog
  • Getting social media buy-in from the top-down
  • Equipping the DQ Web and communications teams with digital strategy
  • Facebook brand channel organic growth to more than 100,000 subscribers and continued high level of interaction from fans in that network
  • Creative social web promotions, giveaways and community building campaigns (PROMO Magazine wrote one idea up)
  • Beginnings of using the social web as a customer service channel in tandem with PR/marketing outreach

I wish them continued success in the future, and am glad to see Mike/PG pushing forward on new developments.
