The lesson that crisis in business needs to be treated like a war is one I learned way too late in my career. But it is absolutely true!! I talk aobut my crisis here http://marionvermazen.blogs.com/marions_blog/2009/02/a-week-or-so-ago-i-sent-an-emai-to-about-when-i-was-essentially-fired-by-carol-bartz-i-was-in-my-early-20s-and-i-had-neve.html Once I learned lessons 5 and 6 I should have read this book!!

What a nice ost.Business is war,right?
Well now its social media times and war can´t be won conventionally not even in the traditional understanding. Its assymetric war. Blitzkrieg tactics are not really the thing I believe, but getting in someones heart and mind, core and analysing the underlying emotions that push buttons the action of the individual or company is the key.
But since we are here for good, not evil (remmeber google in the od days?)we should first now our targets and that they should at the end advance the humanity beyond revenue stats and so on.Social media means to adopt not to set new standards of communication.Communication without hierachy means we are all equal only seperated by our certanities.Sharing the good, value is a classic direct response strategy in getting more. Traditional war tactics must too change and adopt to the global connectivity and web info structured where not a privilege group control info,if you think u are a lucky one belonging in there think again! share value and good intentions and you will grow to something extraordinary in whatever you undertake.
I have just began that with http://www.activagers.com
a social network for young baby boomers worldwide.
thx for the the list anyway!

So many of these are good, Blitzkrieg is one of my favorites. In my experience often times this works so well with a new start up company where we make them come out of nowhere but conquering "everyone" over unexpectedly. Thanks for a good post.
