Digital Marketing And Social Media PR – The Future Buzz

I’ve been asked repeatedly how I am able to concurrently be a writer, an artist, have a career as a marketing/PR professional and be prolific at all of those things. I want to share my processes and methods I’ve developed with you, but first let’s answer the obvious question:

Why even try to become proficient in several things and instead devote all efforts to one?

I know the focus of this blog is helping you spread buzz on the web, but I wanted to share an event with everyone to show you the success a local non-profit has had with a buzz-worthy fundraiser.

For more than two years, I have managed PR for community-supported non-profit agency Kids In Distress (KID) of Broward and Palm Beach Counties. KID has a demonstrated record of caring for and treating abused and neglected children through a full continuum of care that includes emergency shelters, therapeutic services, abuse prevention, foster care and adoption.

I encourage clients, associates and even friends to create content-rich sites for whatever they specialize in with the purpose of building an audience and forging relationships.

The type of content aside, the way to create a popular web property is to slowly grow larger over time in an organized, attractive layout with uniquely useful material focused on your niche.

It’s time once again to break up the longer format content I’ve been writing with more bite-sized thoughts. Today, I thought I’d list some quick insights I’ve gleamed as a heavy contributor, participant and early adopter on the web daily for the last 12 years or so that continue to hold true:

What makes blogs special to you? To me, it is the unique viewpoints of individuals who express their thoughts uninterrupted by editors or restrictions other than the self-imposed variety.

I frequently inject opinion here and take sides. That’s not really a secret and should be pretty clear if you’ve been reading for awhile. I would like to think you’re here not necessarily because your agree or disagree with what I write, but that you think it is worth hearing and want to learn, interact and debate with me.

I didn’t watch the Super Bowl. Wait, let me back up – I don’t watch any sports. Actually, one step further – I don’t even watch TV.

Being a member of the male gender in our planet’s society, it is assumed that I watch sports. Apparently though, it is still forgivable that I don’t watch them 364 days a year. But to not watch one specific game, believe it or not, I am actually viewed by others as socially deviant.
