"generation y is no more or less intelligent than anyone else"
They are either the same or less than most before them. For crying out loud, they like Hannah Montana, Twilight, Zac Efron, you name it. Plus they pay more for College (suckers) then often can't find a job. They move out of their parents house then move back in all the time because they can't hack it.
"generation y is colorblind and open to all lifestyles"
That's one of the dumbest things I've ever heard. Everyone is a little bit predjudiced, some just more than others (and I wouldn't say generation y is any less predjudiced). Can you HONESTLY say that you've never thought "Boys are so stupid" (sexism) or thought to yourself "stupid (insert religion or race here)". Yeah maybe you haven't said that out loud but you have thought that. Maybe you don't remember it or notice it but you have and still do most likely. Plus, hasn't bullying gone up in generation y? If it has, I'd say that's an indicator that they are LESS tolerant than most other generations.
"Generation Y doesn't trust government"
I wish could agree there but I can't say that I do. Generation Y loves authority and is very submissive to it. They have more reason to rebel then people did in the 1960s but do they on that scale? Uh no. Not only that but generation y GREW UP being supervised. They have more rules and laws to follow than ever. From what I've seen, if you show authority to gen y, they'll kiss your butt.
"Generation Y is numb to mass advertising"
This one is but most aren't. I see people around me all the time with designer clothes and expensive cars and phones spending more than they make or having their parents get it for them.

Dear Adam,
Religion has been and always will be "man's way to God." Now the practice of living in the present/ exploring the moment and practicing love is spirituality. Too often people throw out spirituality in the name of religion and so they miss out on the most beautiful part of living. There have been and continue to be many great intellectuals who have faith. Why? (a question worth exploring.) Try one of my favorite books, Awareness The Perils and Opportunities of Reality by Anthony DeMello. I would love to know what you think.

Generation Y is tech savvy, optimistic, confident, diverse, individualistic and realistic. Generation Y doesn’t like to waste time in meetings, loves work/life balance, being effective, and multi-tasking when ever possible. Millennials, as described by the trainer, are tech savvy, diverse, and individualistic, but this generation seems to have different expectations. We are seeing kids wanting something for nothing, putting off work as long as possible, and really being into celebrity.
