One thing that is driving traffic (and raising SEO ranks) to my blogs is using a 'pillar method' of writing. I started with a pillar post - it explained that I am writing a series "The Top Challenges of Blue Collar Managers" and then I began to write and post those on a consistent basis. Once in a while I would diverge from that, but only to add relevant content. I will wrap up with a final review post, the second pillar, like bookends.
I already use internal relevant post links. I will now do as you indicate and add external links when I can find them. I am always on the lookout. Thanks, Adam.

This is one of my favorite posts from you Adam. And that's saying a lot since I have enjoyed so many of your posts.
Every point is spot on and hits home for more than just site editors/owners.
It takes courage to stand above the noise; courage few have.
I believe you are one of the few.
Thanks.

Adam! These are the absolute best tips I've read all year. It's a bloggers mantra. I will be printing it and keeping it close. Thanks for thinking all of this through and putting it together so succinctly. It's easy to get caught up in the hype, try to emulate others and do the proverbial "me too" posts. I've tried very hard to stay away from that and be original and I do believe it is paying off. I am seeing more subscribers and it's pretty amazing to feel as though you offer something that is focused, relevant and thought-provoking. Happy New Year!

Agreed Tim, so long as the personal content correlates directly with your site's thesis. You do a great job of that actually over on your blog.
